Calls to oust Rep. Liz Cheney (R-WY) from her House GOP leadership position are intensifying. Yesterday, President Trump weighed in with this opinion via his website:

Liz Cheney is a warmongering fool who has no business in Republican Party Leadership. We want leaders who believe in the Make America Great Again movement, and prioritize the values of America First. Elise Stefanik is a far superior choice, and she has my COMPLETE and TOTAL endorsement for GOP Conference Chair. Elise is a tough and smart communicator!

It's no surprise that America's 45th president is no fan of Cheney, especially since she was one of 10 House Republicans to vote for impeachment back in January. However, Wyoming's only U.S. Representative is getting support from a, perhaps, unlikely source. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) "commended" Cheney earlier this week "for her courage, for her patriotism."

Cheney went on the offensive yesterday, writing an editorial that appeared in the far-left Washington Post. She made her case, indirectly, to remain Republican Conference Chair, the #3 GOP leadership position in the House:

The Republican Party is at a turning point, and Republicans must decide whether we are going to choose truth and fidelity to the Constitution.

What do you think? Is voting to impeach a GOP president; getting praised by Democrat Nancy Pelosi; and being published in The Washington Post the best way to prove your Republican credentials for leadership? POLITICO reports that a vote by House Republicans to oust Cheney as GOP Conference Chair "is expected as early as next Wednesday."

Grassfire wants to know what you think. If you haven't yet, please vote "OUST!" or "STAY!" in our new "Oust Liz Cheney?" QuickPoll by going here. We want to send the results to our contacts on Capitol Hill BEFORE next week's expected vote. Thanks, in advance, for taking action today.
