Rush Limbaugh Tribute

In honor of Rush's life and legacy, share how the "Great One" impacted your life and our nation....

Rush Limbaugh was one of the nation's leading conservative voices for more than three decades. He championed America's founding ideals of liberty and limited government like few talk-radio hosts ever. On Wednesday, February 17, at the start of "The Rush Limbaugh Show," his wife Kathryn announced that he died from lung cancer at the age of 70.

We're saddened by his passing and what it will mean to the future of the conservative movement in America. But we are grateful for the decades that he served as such a strong voice for this great nation. Please join us in praying for his family and friends during their time of loss.

(Grassfire President Steve Elliott's Tribute.)

Please use this "Rush Tribute" to share how Rush impacted you personally and how grateful you are for the way he has impacted our nation.

I’m 28. Rush has always existed, from my point of view, and that gravelly voice was always playing in either the living room radio or the garage radio. Back then, I was too young to care, and didn’t notice the difference between Limbaugh, Hannity, and Levin. I thought it was the same guy, all day long.

Becoming wiser to the world, and developing a preference for Levin’s burning passion, Rush’s wisdom and insight would still never fail to enthrall me. It’s hard to believe he’s gone, and I’m afraid that we’ve lost an irreplaceable beacon. Society is slipping downward, and I fear that fewer and fewer may have the courage to even attempt to stand against the mob like he did.

Rest in piece, Rush Limbaugh, you’ve earned this ultimate profit break from the world, itself.

Rush was my guiding light through the past 30 years of deceptive politics. God bless him.

My husband and I began listening to Rush in the 90’s, and I loved watching him on tv the short time he was on. He was the voice of reason, and will be missed by many. Thoughts and prayers are with his family.

Over 30 years ago I stumbled on the Rush show in my car while driving on WOKV in Jacksonville Fl. I can remember parking the car and listening for a few hours. When I got home I was so excited to tell my wife that I had heard this guy on the radio that put into words what I had long thought. Rush has been a huge influence in shaping my conservative thoughts. Thank you Rush may you rest in peace.

I discovered Rush thanks to the late Bud Hill from West Virginia. I started listening on WRON and for the first time bought a radio to keep in my office. Rush gave a massive voice to thoughts that I had about conservative values. I’ll miss him and the country will miss him. We never met but I shed a tear yesterday when I learned that he had been set free from the bonds of this life and could return the talent that God lent to him years ago.

Always an uplifting voice, with a hint of a fortune teller ,and was always spot on with his predictions.

When I first heard Rush in 1990, I thought that this man is saying on the airwaves what I believe! He had such a reasoned, insightful view of our country. My husband and I flew on a charted flight from Dallas to New York to see his television show in approximately 1994. Such a wonderful experience. Rush, my day was never complete if I hadn’t heard you. I will miss you so. You were a titan of your industry and a voice for millions of us. God bless.

I must give my brother credit for pointing me to Rush Limbaugh and his iconic and never to be replicated voice for conservative and authentically American values.

His program was unique: host speaks for three hours a day to growing audience with no guests, and with a wicked sense of humor that required those listening to be intelligent and reasonably well-informed. The degree of hatred spewed by leftist-globalists on this day after, is in itself tribute to a man with a great mind and enormous courage to expose far-lefties for the faux-religionist and hateful non-thinkers they truly are.

Rush’s best on-air gift was his eagerness to give preference to his political enemies’ calls and to refute their emotional diatribes with logic and always, with that sense of humor that had conservatives laughing out loud and learning how to answer their own political confrontations.

It’s been said on this day after that Rush Limbaugh formed a bridge between Ronald Reagan and Donald J. Trump. But he was so very much more, America is the greater for it, and we are forever grateful.

My husband and I were among the group of listeners who would search for the next station that carried your show as we drove across the country. We were sad when the station grew weak and we could barely hear you, but then rejoiced when we could capture the next station with that really strong feed. You would take what was happening all around us and put it back into perspective in a very special way. You helped to make sense of things and many a time, by your words, I was ‘talked off the metaphorical wall’. I’ve never heard anyone who had the abilities you have, dear, dear Rush. You were truly a Blessing from God. May your memory be Eternal.

I looked forward to every broadcast and always managed to learn something new.

A man not afraid to stand for his faith in God, not afraid to stand for individual freedom and an American First ideal, will be sorely missed.

We must continue in the big foot steps he left.

I started listening to Maha Rushie in the early 90’s. He was a beacon. Can’t believe I will never hear his voice again on this side. God speed, my brother. See you soon.

I discovered Rush many years ago while working alone in my Bobcat several miles from my home.It was a miserable cloudy day and I had just bungy wrapped a portable radio behind the seat of the loader so I would’nt die of boredom while removing thousands of square feet of blacktop at a closed shipping facility. While tuning for a station,I stumbled onto KFI 640 and this amazing voice who espoused the EXACT kind of things I believe !! .That was it……..I discovered Talk Radio…I became rabidly Rush and spent EVERT day waiting for Rush to come on.EVERY Day…..What will Rush think about this? Wait till Rush hears about THIS ?… " Ride my Magic Balloon " Condoms on the mike for " Safe Radio "…..Absolutely made it possible to do 12 hr days in that damn tractor, all by myself without going crazy ! As a result,I haven’t changed the radio station for 30 years. You can’t Buy that kind of loyalty , KFI , and so as Handel said yesterday, they owe their Existence to Rush……Talk Radio in general ,exists today because of the Man and that,my friends is a legacy anyone would be proud to claim……

I began listening to Rush on KFBK, Sacramento, his adopted home town, in the late 1980’s. I would walk over to the K Street Mall whenever he did a live broadcast and remember him with his briefcase walking back to the station by himself. I was a Rush addict in no time! Another time, Jennifer called in frustrated it was so difficult to meet single men. Rush organized a singles party at a local steakhouse and asked what she would be wearing to identify her. I lost count how many women wore white jackets that night! Rush was there and couldn’t have been more fun and gracious. That’s what he would do for his faithful fans! He was like a brother and there will never be another like him. He was God’s gift to America

I came to know of Rush from his appearance on a daytime talk show in the summer of 1992. His ideas resonated with me like none I had ever heard before. I thought to myself, “This man is speaking the truth…and they (the audience on the talk show), are trying to crucify him for it.” I have been a follower ever since. Rush, your influence has forever altered our culture in a positive way. Many will follow, some will rise, but none will ever measure up to the radio giant that you were. Thank you Rush, you will never be forgotten.

Rush made sense of things. I have never felt such sorrow of losing someone like Rush, a person I only new by his radio program. I am 66 years old and will miss him as if my own brother died. He was a great man, conservative and constitutionalist. He was a part of my conservative beliefs and understanding since his TV show There is no one who can ever take his place.

I listened to Rush for many years on the radio. I’m in outside sales and it was nice to have him along for the ride. Many thought he was obnoxious, but Rush spoke the truth and the facts and never held back from calling it what it was! He will be missed by millions, as well as myself! R.I.P. Rush and may God bless Kathryn and their family!

This man spoke from his heart. He was not afraid he lived every minute to the fullest then some and best of all he spoke THE TRUTH. They say if you want to know who someone truly is see who their enemies are.

SO much to say about this fine man; this everlasting conservative. My heart is very sad. Especially at those depressing times for us conservatives, I would tune in to Rush and he could lift my spirits, give me a reason to hope.

RIP Rush – you will be missed!!!

God bless Rush, and we thank Our Lord for giving him to us for these 30 years.

Now, let us campaign in his honor to root out and destroy those evil forces that have taken over our electoral process and machines, NOW! If we do not, our votes next time in 2022 will be once again stolen and converted against our will. PURIFY OUR ELECTIONS IN HONOR OF RUSH, whose talent was only on loan from God a little while. Rush, look down and pray for us. Pray for the America you love, and will for eternity. Bob Lynch, Architect and Patriot and Catholic

My story is the same as millions: Rush was always part of my day, from 9-noon, as I’m fortunate enough to listen while driving or in my home office. I still remember where I was when I first heard his voice, and I’m sure I’ll remember where he was when I heard he had passed.
He gave millions of people the courage to defend what they know to be right. He was the 5-star General of the culture war, which we as foot soldiers MUST win!

Rush Limbaugh is the reason I am a conservative. I was introduced to one of Rush’s first books by a college science professor . I used his insight about climate change to write my paper for that same college professor. Rush opened my eyes and kept them that way for the next 25 years. He is a truly great man. Trustworthy, fair, insightful, prophetic and endearing. An American hero ! God rest your soul Rush ! You will not be forgotten. You are loved by millions of patriotic Americans ! Thank you for everything you gave us ! I will truly miss you and your profound wisdom.
