Rush Limbaugh Tribute

In honor of Rush's life and legacy, share how the "Great One" impacted your life and our nation....

Rush Limbaugh was one of the nation's leading conservative voices for more than three decades. He championed America's founding ideals of liberty and limited government like few talk-radio hosts ever. On Wednesday, February 17, at the start of "The Rush Limbaugh Show," his wife Kathryn announced that he died from lung cancer at the age of 70.

We're saddened by his passing and what it will mean to the future of the conservative movement in America. But we are grateful for the decades that he served as such a strong voice for this great nation. Please join us in praying for his family and friends during their time of loss.

(Grassfire President Steve Elliott's Tribute.)

Please use this "Rush Tribute" to share how Rush impacted you personally and how grateful you are for the way he has impacted our nation.

Way back I campaigned and voted for Barry Goldwater, the first conservative to run for President. It was a difficult time period. I was in The Silent Majority. It wasn’t until

Rush Limbaugh came into my life (I mean on the radio) that I felt there was a wonderful chance for the country liberals to understand the concepts of a wonderful America. I believe Rush helped turn many people to see the conservative side and allowed many of us to speak up. Thank you Rush; you were The Best.

The day after Obama was elected in 2008, the Holy Spirit told me clearly, “Go to Rush Limbaugh.com.” Truthfully, I had never listened before, but Rush was God’s solution to help me and scores of others navigate the BHO years. For the past 12 years, Rush has been part of my daily life, always seeking his perspective as part of my prayer life to navigate forward. He was clearly a prophetic man of God, and now he is praying from the Cloud of Witnesses in his glorified body. I truly miss him. Kathryn, you are not alone. I am one of your many eagle sisters in the Spirit. You will surely use the talents God has given you to steward forward the valuable principles and legacy of Rush. I’m just now stepping by faith into a new venture myself, and I will trust the talents God has loaned to me to do each step with the excellence, commitment, passion, and integrity demonstrated by Rush. We’ll be able to hear him by Holy Spirit<><

    Love & Kingdom Victory, Leslie

A true patriot. Rush Revere was so fitting, always brave and conscience, warning of the advance of the un-American falsehoods and schemes. Thank you for your service to this country, you will never be forgotten.

rush was a voice for everything that normal people stood for- GOD, Family, Country, Freedom, Security, Truth, Prosperity, Safety etc… We will not have another quite like him, especially with all the liars we have to contend with. In the end, the truth will always prevail!

I’ve listened to Rush for as long as I can remember! Years ago as a traveling salesman I relished the driving time between sales calls so I could hear Rush explain current events! It was hard to leave the radio when I was at my appointment! Rush has had a profound impact on my political opinions and perspective of America and I will dearly miss hearing his voice and reading his monthly newsletters! “Do not doubt me”!

    God Bless you, Rush!

Rush. I will miss your voice of reason in a world that seems to be void of reason. I have listened for decades…since my mid 20’s until today…in my early 50’s. I cant imagine my view of the world around me, and the greatness of our country, would be shaped as it has without your thoughtful show each day. I am listening today to some of your old shows…and your words of wisdom. You may never appreciate how much you impacted our country. Now that you have left us the full value of a life well spent will be celebrated. You really are ‘The Great One.’ I will miss your voice, your thoughts, your encouragement, your enthusiasm for the future, and your love of our great country. Rest in peace. God just received a great soul in heaven.

I will never forget the morning I got to talk to him on the phone‼️‼️. He was delightful. I gave my twin toddlers Scotch tape to play with while I talked to Rush. He heard them ripping the tape off the roll. Do I have birds he asked?? No, it’s my twins playing with scotch tape😂😂. We joked about that then I got to my point.

    I raised 7 Rush babies.

    God bless Rush Limbaugh❤️❤️❤️

Rush is the greatest of the great. Since 1989, I have listened to my guru, The Maha Rushie, and always left the program feeling uplifted and hopeful. The man was just, honest and perfectly comfortable to talk to us for 3 hours a day. I am heartbroken that his time on earth is doe, but if anyone deserves the riches of Heaven it is Rush Limbaugh. I will not say rest in peace, but I will say, Rush, your suffering is over and I am very sure Jesus has said to you, :well done, good and faithful servant. " You will live on in the hearts of many millions who have called you friend over your long and beautiful career, tat has touched so many, more than you’ll ever know! Have a great time in Heaven and some day I hope to meet you personally in Paradise.

I started listening in the early 90’s right around the 1st Gulf war. Regan was my first vote for President and that’s what formed my base political belief system. Being “young”, I couldn’t articulate my strong conservative viewpoints well, but they were most certainly there. Then he came along and was able to explain what I could not. In those long years since, with his volumes of material and my own reading, I can relay to others precisely what I think and feel, and why that is. Those beliefs we all have that would post here are at their core very simple. Limited government, responsible spending, and a strong world leader. These have levels of complexity and nuance when it comes to governance, but again, at their core are the base of the desired human condition. Freedom and liberty shouldn’t be difficult concepts to grasp and articulate, but he sure did give us plenty of ammunition for previous political skirmishes, and the political war to come. Rest well Rush, but your work is not finished. You have only passed the torch along as our “Ronnie” did: as an inspiration to continue to fight for the original intent of the founders and to keep this hope…this “great experiment”… that our “government of the people, by the people, for the people, shall not perish from the earth.”

I found comfort in Mr. Limbaugh’s voice, sensible, reasonable, rational opinions and measured responses to the happenings of the day, was in such a way that he touched my heart. Sometimes just to hear him on the radio helped me find my own footing in times of trouble, I will miss hearing his voice and we as a world are lesser for his loss. Heartfelt sympathy

He told us the media didn’t make him, so they couldn’t destroy him.

He told us he didn’t want his program to be about him and the cancer, but he let us in to what was happening.

He was who we turned to when things seemed bleak.

He loved being on air for us.

We are forever grateful that God made him for this time to do what he did.

    God bless his legacy.

I have listened to Rush since the early 1990’s. He was a intelligent and common sense man. I learned much from him. I did route work most of those years and my radio was always tuned into 590 AM Austin Tx. where he was on from 11AM to 2PM. I remember him giving a new vehicle to a struggling small business couple. Seemed he was constantly giving to others. He gave so much to our Nation and people. May God bless His Family and Friends. I hope who ever is picked to take over the show will do a great job, although we all know He can never be replaced. Rush Limbaugh, Simply The Best !

After my military career, (1960-1980, USAF) I ventured into truck driving as a second career. I remember tuning into Rush sometime in the late 80"s and from the first broad cast, I was hooked on this conservative voice from Rush.

Daily, I tuned into the Rush Limbaugh show, from 12;00 till 3;00, to get an honest assessment of the daily news…much more in depth than the other commentators of the news at that time.

My wife and I attended one of Rush’s personal appearances program back in the early days of his travels and appearances around the country. Rush was always entertaining and always a purveyor of truth of daily political happenings and opinions.

Rush was and always will be my personal hero. His contributions to “talk radio” can never be equaled. He paved the way for other Talk Shop hosts to succeed. His contributions to effective and honest communication for the “conservative voice” will never be surpassed.

Rush is in God’s hands now, but his memory will live on as one of the great all-time commentators on daily news summaries and opinions.

Thank you Rush for your honesty and integrity.

I first hear Rush on a long ride in California, from Lancaster to Mammoth in 1988. He was brash, funny, but saying all the right things. I like millions of others became an avid listener and one of Rush’s “dittoheads”. I , and our Country will miss him dearly. True to his beliefs always, he was for the little man, the man that just wanted to left alone, and use his God given talents to go as far in this world as he could. As a voice for Conservatives and conservative beliefs he is irreplaceable and unfortunately one that we need so badly at this time. I pray he is finally happy and free from pain and knows we love him dearly.

I now realize how much Rush had been a “core”, a balancing “center” of my life – not by telling us all what to do, but to be able to help us make sense of the happenings in the country – for a clearer perspective, in order to grow as intelligent citizens. He gave me comfort and hope. His humility, faith and humor combined with his enormous intellect to bring talk radio into the forefront forever in the U.S. RIP, dear Rush.
