  Our elected officials upon being elected somehow disappear from reality as they enter into an unconscious condition of a moral abyss. Everything and every action they take must be 100% across the board satisfying to every living organism in existence. The concept of a splinter group (1,000 people or single-celled organisms) not being accommodated even at the expense of 300 million Americans/humans becomes a logical premise to toss out the whole project.
