Hello, I am Terry Lynn and a proud American. I am a 61 year old female and never voted in a Presidential election before the 2016 election. I had a strong desire to vote but only for someone I believed in and wanted to win. I refused to cast a vote for someone to keep another from winning. This changed during Donald Trumps campaign. I can’t say I liked Donald Trump previously. Quite the opposite. He seemed too arrogant and downright condescending. But when he spoke about America and what it means to be an American, everything changed. Suddenly the arrogance changed to pride and condescension changed into the defense of a nation of people who were being neglected. Instead of the blinding promises designed to coax voters into supporting whatever issues were put forth by campaign contributors, Donald Trump focused on the needs of the PEOPLE and what he could offer THEM. After all, Donald Trump is already rich so he wasn’t for sale. He rejected the common pressures that come from debt to those with power whose support comes with the high price of duty to a limited few. Instead he was free to address the issues that affect American citizens. Our needs, our hopes, our fears and our voices became his topics. Issues that rarely, if ever, are talked about in the news. This had a powerful and negative impact on the previous way for a campaign to succeed. It angered the political elite and frankly caught them off guard. Surely nobody would take him seriously. Well a lot of people, including me, did take him seriously and voted for him. When he won the election in 2016, I was so happy! He served us with a genuine love for America and American people. He strongly defended us against the threats we were facing. Like a good parent and a responsible leader, he placed the welfare of his country and it’s people above all else. But not without opposition. Those that rejected Donald Trump, did so with a fierce hatred that has grown and spread within our nation. Like a spoiled child that doesn’t get what they want, many Americans decided to make him suffer in numerous ways. It breaks my heart to observe the attacks against this man who has such passion and love for America and it’s people. He came to us not asking anything from us to benefit himself but with an offer of service that would benefit the people who could benefit from the things he provided. A lesser man would have given up on the people after the treatment he has received. But Donald Trump has not given up on us. He continues to fight for the American people. The accusation that everything centers around his ego, I see as a man defending himself and his accomplishments against the continued hatred and assaults made against him. I couldn’t blame him if he became bitter against his assailants. Could you? I strongly support President Donald Trump and honor all he continues to do for us even when many are trying to destroy him. Think about it, Donald Trump is still rich when he completes his service to this country. What does he have to gain by enduring such hatred and continuing the fight? Is his ego so deprived that it is necessary for him to endure painful attacks and come back for more? No, he will still be Donald Trump the rich business man after he is no longer President Donald Trump. Thank you PRESIDENT Trump for fighting for me and my family.
