I first heard of Rush in the late 80’s as a friend was mentioning “this guy on the radio who is controversial that some are calling a racist”. Right off the bat the MSM was labeling Rush as toxic and poison. So I had to hear for myself what everyone was SO afraid of. What I heard was a man who was validating the way I thought and felt. There was no racism; no bigotry to be found anywhere. After that, I became a regular listener and subscribed to the Limbaugh Letter.
I owe Rush much for ‘saving’ me from being sucked into leftist union propaganda. Before listing to Rush I was pretty much politically ignorant. Rush opened my eyes to liberalism and spoke truth about who and what these people were. My eyes were opened to what unionism really is and things were never the same after.
After 30 years of always looking forward to Rush’s show, it will be hard not having him here. It’s as if a dear family member departed. He will be greatly missed, but his legacy will continue on. He has given much to his loyal audience and there is no doubt his work will be carried on by those who he has influenced and inspired. Myself included.
Talent on loan from God. Now returned to God forever. Thank you, Lord, for giving us Your gift of Rush. God bless you, Rush.
