Citizen Petition:
"I Oppose Raising The Debt Ceiling"

A clear majority of Americans (65%) and an overwhelming majority of the Grassfire Nation (80%) oppose raising the debt ceiling. Congress is expected to debate and vote on this issue in May. Grassfire Nation will be delivering petitions to key leaders in Congress. Please sign the petition to be included in the next scheduled delivery.

The Petition States:

Whereas politicians have amassed an unsustainable debt burden totaling $1.6 trillion this year,
$15 trillion by the end of this year and more than $113 trillion when counting unfunded liabilities, and; Whereas the current President and Congress have shown no capacity to significantly reduce spending and debt,

Therefore, I am signing this Citizen Petition opposing any increase in the legal federal debt limit. It is time for Congress and the President to get serious about cutting spending. Do Not Increase The Debt Ceiling! Cut Spending!
