Grassroots Survey: The Debt Ceiling

Congress is moving rapidly toward a major showdown over the raising of the debt ceiling – the legal limit on the total amount of borrowing allowed by the federal government. Some want to use this vote to force the federal government to deal directly with its appetite for runaway deficits. Others, including Speaker Boehner, warn that not raising the debt ceiling will lead to "financial disaster." Grassfire Nation is conducting this survey to determine where grassroots conservatives stand on the issue of raising the debt ceiling.

Survey results will be hand-delivered to Speaker Boehner and other leaders. Upon completion of the survey, you will also have the opportunity to have your individual results sent directly to your two Senators and Representative. Please complete the form below to have your results included in the report to Congressional leaders.

My POSITION on raising the debt ceiling: (select one)
The debt ceiling must be raised out of necessity.
The debt ceiling should be raised until some time in the future when the federal budget is balanced.
The debt ceiling should be raised only with specific conditions and limits that reduce federal spending.
The debt ceiling must not be raised. Government should immediately stop deficit spending.
