White House pressure to pass the government-run healthcare remains intense as Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi lurk in the shadows and away from public scrutiny to cobble an ObamaCare plan that a growing majority of citizens don’t want. Tax increases, premium hikes, mandates and penalties are all part of a plan that will empower government bureaucrats to dictate the kind of health coverage Americans must purchase and what benefits they can receive.

Many analysts believe the nationalization of our health care system will cripple businesses and cause a massive intrusion in government control over our lives. Reid and his cohorts are doing whatever they can to deliver a bill to the President’s desk before his mid-January State of the Union Address. With more than ONE MILLION signatures, Grassfire Nation is urging citizens to complete the form below to sign.

As a concerned citizen, I oppose any and all efforts to further expand government control over the U.S. healthcare and insurance system. Specifically, I oppose the so-called “Public Option” proposals -- the “Affordable Health Choices Act” and other similar bills -- which amount to government-run, socialized health care that will impose massive taxes on the American people.

Like most Americans, I prefer getting my health coverage through private insurance rather than the federal government. That’s because government healthcare always results in higher costs and rationing. I do not want politicians and bureaucrats dictating the health care and insurance decisions of myself and my employer. Especially in these difficult economic times, I flatly reject any new government healthcare plan that imposes new taxes or burdens on individuals or businesses.
