Why all Americans must be engaged in the ObamaCare debate

White House pressure to pass the government-run healthcare remains intense as Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi prepare to use the controversial and deceptive “reconciliation process” to pass an ObamaCare plan that the majority of Americans don’t support!

Passage will dramatically cut Medicare funding, increase taxes, and premiums, while empowering government bureaucrats to dictate the kind of health coverage Americans must purchase and what benefits they can receive.

Many analysts believe the nationalization of our health care system will cripple businesses and cause a massive intrusion in government control over our lives. Reid and his cohorts are using whatever methods, and cutting whatever deals necessary to deliver a bill to the President’s desk before the end of March!

As a concerned citizen, I oppose any and all efforts to further expand government control over the U.S. healthcare and insurance system. Specifically, I oppose the so-called “Public Option” proposals -- the “Affordable Health Choices Act” and other similar bills -- which amount to government-run, socialized health care that will impose massive taxes on the American people.

Like most Americans, I prefer getting my health coverage through private insurance rather than the federal government. That’s because government healthcare always results in higher costs and rationing. I do not want politicians and bureaucrats dictating the health care and insurance decisions of myself and my employer. Especially in these difficult economic times, I flatly reject any new government healthcare plan that imposes new taxes or burdens on individuals or businesses.

I also fervently oppose the reconciliation process, or any other deceptive scheme or political loophole employed to pass a socialized health care plan that ultimately betrays the American people.
